Living Our Values

So it's Winter. Being in the wintry season of my own life, I'm surprised by the fact that Valentine's Day is still a focal point. Perhaps it is the fact that Love is my top value. It reminds me to bring love to every action. This is the core of Lifeplan.

The young people going through Lifeplan choose their top three values and then learn to use them in making decisions. In their journey of choices, decisions and consequences they learn at this young age that using their top values as a guide will likely result in much better outcomes, rather than just "winging it."

I am so often reminded that life "is what it is". The best we can do is bring our best to it each day, navigate the speed bumps the best we can and cherish the remarkable moments of love, family and friendship.

I think Buddha would have liked Lifeplan. He said it best a long time ago, "In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you."

In Lifeplan, these young people are learning to live by their values, being thoughtful and leaving things better for having been here.

So have a great Valentine's month! Let your love cascade to others with each step you take, each thought you express and each smile you give freely.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Andy
