Get our Newest Book! This book ... describes the birth of Lifeplan, how it works, and why it's crucial that every young person in America have a Lifeplan. By giving young people these tools, we are ensuring that each young person in America has a chance to thrive. -- Foreword by George Lucas The book that started it all ... Lifeplan institute's founding was inspired by Andy Mecca's book for mentors: Lifeplan: Tools Every Teenager Needs to Thrive Not Merely Survive. Building off that work, the Lifeplan Institute developed a one-of-a-kind training program for mentees (children age 11-19), My Lifeplan: A Journey of Choices, Decisions, and Consequences. The program takes the concepts from Andy’s book (the what) and brings them to life for mentees by creating a visceral in-depth understanding of the times ahead and the action plan (the how) that will guide them on their journey through life. My Lifeplan helps mentees maneuver through their tweens, teens, and on through young adulthood. In a nutshell, participants discover for themselves how to navigate the path of life, avoid the common pitfalls, and become successful thriving adults. The Lifeplan institute is the outgrowth of generous sponsorship by the California Mentor Foundation and the Evelyn Freed Mentor Center.
