Wow 2016! Happy New Year to you all!
All of us working with thousands of young people around the country are thrilled to be back with them and continuing their journey through the Lifeplan program.
As the kids now know, it is a Journey of Choices, Decisions and Consequences. As they grow their Lifeplan, these young people have become more aware of the thoughtfulness that they can bring to their decision-making process and thus make better choices with more likely good outcomes.
I am personally excited in this new year to be exploring some new material with the young people I am working with. This will include exploring time literacy and relationships (this was suggested by students who expressed their hope that future parents would go through this program to know each other better).
One of the students has already pointed out that time is the one universal that we all share, and it's all about the wisdom we bring to how we spend it.
Obviously, the students will become more aware of the opportunities some have and the barriers others face to spend time the way they might wish. When it's all said and done, they will be more aware!
Time seems an appropriate theme as a new year begins with all the hope and eagerness it brings. In this light, I want to wish you all a great New Year and extend my heartfelt wish that it brings you joy, good health, and some great adventures.
